Question by : How would 2 men in love getting married undermine your marriage?
I’m a pretty opinionated person, but I can almost always understand other opinions than my own. However, I absolutely do not understand why anyone would not want homosexuals to get married. How would their marriage impact your life at all? Sure, marriage started out in religion and christianity says homosexuality is a sin, but what about the other legal benefits of marriage that homosexuals are denied? Please someone explain your reasoning being against gay marriage with some good arguments, because I have yet to see a good argument.

Answer by past_the_line I’m with you if the gay community would like to be as unhappy as the rest of us why not let them.
Question by J: What is the Sanctity of Marriage that conservatives are trying to protect?
Statistics show that nearly 50% of all marriages end in divorce (google it). Conservatives most famous argument against gay marriage is that they must protect the sanctity of marriage, homosexuality threatens marriage and families…so if half of those who make lifelong commitments to each other in front of God or a judge are lying their butts off, how is marriage so sanctimonious that it is worth denying people who are in love from getting married simply because it’s not traditional?
Best answer:
Answer by Skogen America isn’t going to hell, it *is* hell. High divorce rates are due to a creeping nihilism overtaking the country.
What is the purpose of marriage? Paul Washer explains that the purpose of marriage is not to fulfill selfish desires, but to glorify God. Here’s a short poem by Youtube’s own Abalone Kid Chaim. He sent this to me after seeing this video and was gracious enough to allow me to post it here to share with you. TO JACKIE AT CHRISTMAS 2006: MY LOVE FOR YOU Through the majesty of the Savior I glorify my love for you In the rush of winds And torrential rains In oceans pure The southern sky I see your face In little creatures The lush desert bloom In the sunlight of my days I hear your voice next to mine Through God’s love I sanctify my love for you In towering redwoods The white crescent mountain peaks In ever-changing sands And the movement of the sky I see your touch And remember Chaim (The Abalone Kid) Watch Chaim’s videos here: www.youtube.com Thanks to Matt Haney for posting this on Sermonaudio.com. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make this moment in history a part of our story. I love you, Deb Zep. (All ad revenue on this clip is going to the OWS General Assembly fund, so don’t rip and mirror if you don’t wanna get flagged) I knew a ton of friends and family were gonna watch and probably repost, but I had no idea this would get picked up so fast by so many sites. Just wanna plug occupywallst.org and if anyone is hating on what’s going on down there, then I doubt they’ve bothered to actually talk to anyone, or more importantly LISTEN. Thank you to everyone who can stay down there and hold down the fort for all of us who have jobs and families to keep warm and fed each night. That’s all for now. OCCUPY [YOUR TOWN HERE]. Relationship expert Dr. Sue Johnson addresses what constitutes a healthy marriage.
This poor guy decided to propose at a basketball game in “public” in front of thousands… What he didn’t realize is that she didn’t feel the same about him. All I can say, is that if you are going to propose, you better make sure it’s going to happen before embarrassing both parties involved. lol… Video Rating: 4 / 5
Question by : How should you list children of a second marriage in the obit of the deceased father?
Father was passed and has four children from first marriage and 6 children that are by marriage only and not adopted. So should you list first his wife, then his children only and not his children by marriage?
Best answer:
Answer by Tina They are technically his stepchildren. If you would like to put them in the obit, you could list his first wife and children then his second wife and the stepchildren.

Question by Jack (Catholicism is the Truth): How is wanting to preserve the sanctity of marriage discriminating against homosexuals?
So someone is an intolerant bigot just because they want to preserve the institution of marriage as it’s always been? No culture in the world has ever accepted gay marriage. It’s not natural, and not the way marriage was intended by the Creator.
Best answer:
Answer by Michael K That’s pretty much the same argument people used against interracial marriage. Way to go. Besides that argument is fallacious (appeal to common practice and appeal to tradition).
Homosexuality has been observed in nature and some societies have approved of gay marriage (Greeks and Romans).
Question by Ninerznina: How are grants effected after marriage and is there a way to avoid this?
Alright so I’m military and my boyfriend is a civilian. He has a grant and we want to get married but don’t want to affect his grant money.
How would marriage change this and is there some way to get around this or possibly a way into marriage where we can keep our finances somewhat separate. He still lives with his parents and is going to school as of right now. We want to get married but also want him to get all of his grant money.
Best answer:
Answer by Ten Kenorland Surely he had to sign a contract to get his money. Read that contract. If it is not understandable to you, you may need to have a lawyer read it for you.
