Question by Scott Roewe: What is the case against gay marriage in the United States?
I am in full support of gay marriage. I believe that gays should be entitled to all of the same rights as straights. What I want to know is an informed case against gay marriage. Arguing for gay marriage here is redundant. Also, If you are for gay marriage and have beliefs of why people are opposed to it, try and hold your tongue. I want responses from people who are actually opposed to it. Thank you.
Best answer:
Answer by Joelle Well… Religious people believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. But they specifically think that gay marriage undermines the basis of an “american family” (married parents, 2 kids, pets, and such). Other than that…. they don’t have much else to argue… bc people believe that homosexuality is wrong when its just a part of life.
